Celtics impressive in season opener

The “Big Three” are impressive in Celtics home opener shooting a combined 24 of 46 as they blowout the Wizards 103-83 Friday at the Garden. As well as 22 points Kevin Garnett finished with a lofty 20 rebounds and 5 assists and “Ray Ray” Allen and “the Truth” Paul Pierce finished 5 of 11 from beyond the arc.

As was demonstrated throughout the pre-season what is most concerting for C fans was the ball movement and unselfish play which should only get even more efficient as the season progresses.

Not to mention, just how impressive Paul Pierce looked offensively which forces teams into the quandry of either double teaming KG or leaving Pierce isolation opportunities. A very nice luxury to have. Pierce will probably finally receive the true recognition he so deserves after all these years.

Another thing to be optimistic about is Rajon Rondo who ran the offense efficently while contributing 15 points on 7 of 10 shooting.

Maybe Danny Ainge actually does know what he was talking about. Finally…
